RAINWATER-COLLECTION

We systematically collect all the rainwater from the roofs. The precious liquid runs first into our "cisterna" (a pear shaped underground deposit that nearly all old houses on Ibiza possess), witch has a capacity of about 25'000 litres. The overflow is canalized into a open air deposit that can contain about 160'000 litres and witch we use occasionally as a natural swimming pool. From there the rainwater is pumped into our irrigation system.
